Tragic accident in Hardoi: Car falls into a deep water-filled pit, husband, wife and 3-month-old child die; one youth critical

Family was returning home from Gurugram to celebrate Diwali

The deceased have been identified as Ramesh Kumar (35), his wife Neelam (32) and their three-month-old child. Ramesh was originally a resident of village Sarra under the Sursa police station area of Hardoi district. His family was currently living in Chand Behta and Ramesh worked in Gurugram, Haryana.

To celebrate the festival of Diwali, Ramesh was returning home by car early Friday morning with his wife, innocent child and companion Aditya Kumar. During this, their car went out of control near Zafarpur turn on the Bilgram-Kannauj road and fell into a deep water-filled pit below a culvert. The accident occurred around 3:30 am on Friday.

Injured youth pulled out with the help of a rope

After the car fell into the water, there was chaos at the spot. Hearing the screams, nearby villagers reached the scene and informed the police. The police and villagers together started relief and rescue operations.

After much effort, Aditya Kumar, who was in the car, was pulled out with the help of a rope. He was in critical condition and unconscious. After this, everyone was taken to the Kannauj District Hospital by ambulance.

Three people declared dead at the hospital

At the hospital, doctors declared Ramesh Kumar, his wife Neelam and the three-month-old infant dead. The treatment of the critically injured Aditya Kumar is underway. As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was mourning among the family members. The police have taken the three bodies into custody and initiated necessary legal action.
